Eid Mubarak Eid al-Fitr 2020 | confirmed Insha’Allah we will complete 30 ramadan and Eid will be on Sunday 24th May 2020.
As Muslims we have 2 Eid, Eid ul Fitr and Eid Ul Adha.

Zakat al Fitr
Originally this was the giving of a certain amount of food to the needy, but nowadays most people give money to pay for the food. This has been set at £5, and should be paid for each and every member of the family, including children.

You won’t be able to pay at the Mosque because of the closure, so make sure you fulfil your obligation for Zakat al Fitr before the end of Ramadan. This can be paid directly into the Shahporan Masjid bank account details are as follows;

According to Hanafi School of Thought it’s wajib for male to perform Eid Salah under normal circumstances and in other schools of thought it’s sunnah.

As we are under lockdown conditions and a potential risk to health, scholars have agreed that *it’s not necessary for us to pray Eid Salah, and won’t be sinful inshaAllah if we miss Eid Salah.*

Jumauh and Eid has a lot of similarities. However, we find direct replacement of Jumuah when a person misses it but we don’t find anything directly in Sunnah about replacement of Eid Salah.

Abdullah ibn Masud (ra) said “whoever misses Eid Salah he should perform 4 rakat nafl.”
Based on this opinion
Majority of the scholars of this time are saying *we can pray four rakat nafl salah at home on our own rather than praying Eid Salah due to the current situation.*

We recommend you to do this as there are many wisdoms behind it.

Based on this few scholars are saying that people can pray Eid Salah at home with minimum 4 male adults with extra Takbeers and khutbah.

However as it’s not necessary for us to perform Eid Salah,
*We should avoid get-togethers as this falls under breaking the law of the land and health risk.*
This will also invite unnecessary attention and cause problems.
